Surface Preparation
Prepare your wooden flooring by sanding it down to the raw wood surface, free of oils and dirt. Use a belt sander (e.g., P80) and an edge sander (P60), then thoroughly vacuum before applying Osmo Wood Putty.
Please Note: Do not add sanding dust with remnants of old coating to Osmo Wood Putty. Only use clean sanding dust for this purpose.
Methods of Application
Stir the putty well before use, and mix it with sanding dust (80-120 grain size) to create a thick paste. The right consistency is crucial for flawless application. Apply the paste diagonally with a rust-free double blade scraper like Osmo's Double Blade Scraper, pressing it firmly into joints. After 30-60 minutes, sand the dried paste coarsely (grit P80) and then finely (grit P100–120) for a polished finish. We adviise sanding with Sia Abbrasives for an easy and consistant finish.

- Conduct a trial application, as wood type and sanding dust affect the mixture.
- Mix in sanding dust for optimal results.
- Coarsely and finely sand for a flawless surface.
