ALL SURFACE ALL PURPOSE WHITE and GREY PRIMER.

Bedec All Prime is an all-purpose primer, designed for interior and exterior walls, ceilings, doors, trim, fascia, soffits, foundations, railings, ferrous, non-ferrous metals and pretty much all related paintable surfaces.

It really does everything. It has been engineered to even out the porosity of a range of surface and ensure optimum adhesion between your topcoat and surface, providing you with the best possible results from your paint system and giving you a finish that endures.

Some stains may require a second coat. For best results, allow to dry overnight before applying topcoat. Very porous woods may require two coats before the topcoat.

FAQ

How do I prepare the surface before application?

The surface should be clean, dry, sound and free of dust, dirt, excessive chalky material, grime, oil, wax, mould, wallpaper adhesive or any contamination that may interfere with adhesion of the paint to the surface.

If unsure, always wash the surface with the appropriate cleaning solution such as Koate Soap or methylated spirits and rinse off. Clean new galvanized with methylated spirits.

Remove any unsound coatings with a scraper. Sand any remaining paint film edges smooth and level with the new surface with a sia abrasive (320-400 grit).

New plaster which is polished or dusty should be abraded to open the surface. Lightly sand exposed wood with 80 to 100 grit sandpaper to remove loose or weathered wood fibres.

When priming over stained areas, first attempt to remove as much of the stain as possible by washing, sanding, scraping etc.

Remove mould and treat area with a fungicidal wash. Remove rust/wire brush rusty areas and wipe with methylated spirits. Spot prime knots and sap streaks after suitable preparation

Glossy surfaces - Adheres to glossy enamel paints and clear finishes, contiboard MDF, PVC, fibreglass, vinyl, ceramic wall tiles. Pre-sanding or surface de-glossing may be needed.

What is the best way to apply the product?
