Allfinishes present to you Renner Rio Verde Decorative Oil: bringing Renner's superior expertise in waterborne coatings to the DIY and professional market. Rio Verde Decorative Oil is specially designed for renovating and transforming wooden furniture and doors. It dries to a natural, silky, clear, coloured or iridescent finish which is perfect for various design schemes and bringing a new lease of life to vintage or new furniture. This product can be used as a single finish or optionally use the Natural as a top coat after application of Rio Verde Vintage Prestige Furniture Paint to enhance and add protection to the finish.

Preparation

Sand with SIA 6120 siafleece handpads 150-180 grit and remove dust.

Clean surface to remove contaminants prior to applying. Ensure surface is stable, firm and free of:

• Dust
• Sand
• Loose old paint
• Laitance
• Dirt 

Shake the tin prior to application.

Check the colour by conducting a test area.

Application

No primer is required before using this product.

Natural, Stained and Iridescent finishes are available. The Natural finish can be used in conjunction with Renner Rio Verde Vintage Prestige Furniture Paint.

Natural Look

Apply 2-3 coats of RO3000 Natural Decorative Oil. Apply the oil using a synthetic bristle brush, such as our Prodec Premier Synthetic Paint Brush. 

Coat each layer at 1-2 hour intervals. Between coats, sand the surface with SIA 6120 sia fleece handpads 320-400 grit.

Stained Look

Apply 2 coats of RO3XXX Decorative Oil. Apply the oil using a synthetic bristle brush, such as our Prodec Premier Synthetic Paint Brush. Coat each layer at 1-2 hour intervals. Between coats, sand the surface with SIA 6120 siafleece handpads 320-400 grit. For more durable finish apply third coat of RO3000 Natural Decorative Oil.

Shabby Chic Look

Sand wood painted in Renner Rio Verde Vintage Prestige with SIA 6120 siafleece handpads 80-150 grit and remove dust. Apply 1-2 coats of RO3000 Natural Decorative Oil. Apply the oil using a synthetic bristle brush, such as our Prodec Premier Synthetic Paint Brush. Coat each layer at 1-2 hour intervals. This will seal and protect the paint.

Aftercare

Lightly sand with SIA 6120 sia fleece handpads 220-320. Remove the dust and apply a coat of the desired colour. A second coat can be applied to the most degraded parts. Alternatively protect with Renner Rio Verde Clear Decorative Oil. 

Wipe gently with a soft cloth or sponge.
