 Renner Rio Verde Classic Topcoat RFXX20 makes the wood water-repellent, resistant, and durable. For best results, avoid using this product on white wood stains. Instead, use the Waxy Topcoat RC2030 for a completely colourless finish. The product can be diluted with 5-10% water to improve application ease.

Application Instructions

For Stained/Impregnated Wood:

• Ensure the wood is treated with low-solid content dyes or wood stains.
• Clean the surface, sand with sandpaper or Scotch Brite, remove the dust, and apply 1-2 coats of RFXX20.

 For Coated Wood:

• If the paint finish is in good condition, sand with 320 grit abrasive, clean the surface, and apply RFXX20.
• If the paint finish is in poor condition, sand with 80-150 grit abrasive to strip it back to raw wood, clean the surface, and apply RFXX20.
• For optimal results, apply 1-2 coats of Wood Stain RMXX10 or Gel Wood Stain RGXX80 before using RFXX20.

Maintenance Tips 

• For objects heavily exposed to atmospheric agents, sand the deteriorating parts with 220-320 grit sandpaper, remove the dust, and apply one coat of RFXX20. Apply a second coat on the most deteriorated areas.
• For objects with minimal exposure to atmospheric agents, maintenance will be less frequent. Clean the surface with neutral Detergent T.Clean RR1050.
