Mirka Abralon is a unique, multifunctional sanding material developed for tackling both smooth and profiled surfaces. Its patented, flexible construction allows it to create a smooth sanding pattern on angled surfaces and edges while minimising the risk of pressure marks. The flexible weave also allows water and air to pass freely, making it suitable for both dry and wet sanding.

Abralon is a unique multifunctional patented sanding material developed for flexible sanding of both smooth and profiled surfaces. Abralon creates a smooth sanding pattern on angled surfaces and edges, while minimising the risk of pressure marks.

The open cell structure is used to keep the water in Abralon during the sanding operation. The  water is not thrown out and a smaller amount of liquid can be used. The foam provides an even surface pressure to the abrasive fabric regardless of the form variations of the sanded material. This prevents the abrasive fabric from cutting through the lacquer layer, for example at sharp edges and roundings.

Abralon is suitable for automotive refinishing, construction & decoration, wood processing, metal processing, composites, processing, marine industry and vehicles manufacturing.

Grit Type	From	To	Description
Coarse	40	80	Coarse grits are a good choice for rough sanding and removing stock quickly, such as sanding the edge of a sticking door with a belt sander.
Medium	100	150	Medium grits make a good starting point for most projects, from sanding unfinished wood to removing old varnish.
Fine	180	240	Finer grits are great for removing the scratches left by coarser grits on unfinished wood and for lightly sanding between coats of paint.
Very Fine	320	600	Very fine grits are used for light sanding between coats of finish and to sand metal and other hard surfaces.
Polishing	1000	3000	Ultra-fine grit is used in conjunction with polishing creams to create high-gloss paint and lacquer finishes.
