Preparation

Before starting the job, ensure you are equipped with right amount of Liberon Spirit Wood dye.

Test an area of wood with the dye first before starting out the job to ensure that the final finish is right for the wood. The colour bar may not be a true representation of the actual colour.

If one or more tin is required, mix the tins together in one large container to uniform and marry the colours together.

Before applying the Palette Wood Dye, sand the surfaces thoroughly and remove any dust that may have been left behind.

Do not mix water-based dyes with spirit dyes.

Caution must be taken when using water based finishes over Liberon Palette Wood Dye. Keep brush strokes to a minimum as over brushing may lift out the colour.

If you need to remove any varnishes that may have been on the surface previously, you can use Liberon Fine Wood Stipper, and Liberon Wax & Polish Remover for wax finishes.

Any imperfections in the wood? Then you can use Liberon Wood Filler to fill in cracks and gaps you may have.

Safety

Here at AllFinishes we take health and safety seriously and recommend you use the correct protection for the job. Disregarding safety equipment can be damaging and result in long term health conditions. Please check out our Moldex range for high quality respirators and hearing protection.
