Osmo WR Base Coat 4001
Osmo WR Base Coat is a clear exterior wood preservative designed to enhance protection of softwood species.
This is a base coat - please over-coat with an Osmo Exterior Finishing Oil, such as Osmo UV Protection Oil or Osmo Natural Oil Wood Stain
For a deep coloured finish, we recommend a paint-like oil such as Osmo Country Colour.

Preparation
Wood surface must be clean, dry and frost-free (moisture content max. 20%).
Ready to use oil. Do not thin. Stir well before use.
If you can, please apply the first coat to all sides before installation.
Clean old microporous stains thoroughly, and remove old paints and lacquers.
We recommend wearing a dust mask during sanding.
Please conduct a trial application. The finished surface can be influenced by the condition of the wood.
Application
Apply by brushing, dipping or flooding.
For brush applications we recommend using Osmo Soft Tip Brush.
Only spray in an enclosed unit.
Coat generously.
Apply to all sides of the timber before fitting.
Before applying a protective oil coat on top, allow the WR Base Coat to dry for 12 hours at temperatures of 20 deg C / 65 % humidity. Lower temperatures and/or higher air humidity increases the drying time.
