Preparation

Surface must be clean and dry. Remove all traces of dust and dirt prior to application (maximum moisture content 20%).

Only apply on a frost-free surface. For best performance it is always recomended to remove all traces of previous finishes.

Existing oiled surfaces can be lightly rubbed back with meths then fully cleaned

Pre-existing varnishes and sealers must be completely removed via sanding or using a suitable paint stripper/varnish remover

For internal wood repairs, use Osmo Interior Wood Filler or Osmo Interior Gap Sealer

For exterior wood repairs, use Osmo Exterior Gap Sealer

To protect against blue stain in moist surroundings, pre-treat wood with Osmo WR Base Coat 4001

Application

Use Osmo Soft Tip Brush or Roller. Apply thinly and evenly to the clean and dry wood along the wood grain and spread well.

Allow to dry for approx. 10-12 hours under good ventilation.

After drying, thinly apply a second coat.

For renovation works, one coat applied to the clean and dry surface is usually sufficient.

Note

When used in dark indoor areas, the coating has a slight yellowing effect. This is due to its high oil content.
