1948 S Performance is specially designed for high stock removal rates with perfect surface quality. Designed for maximum surface dust extraction. The performance is defined by the arrangement of holes and not by the amount of holes.
Please Note: The Sia 1948 S Performance has replaced the Sia 1948 Fibotec. Sold in packs of 100 discs.
Area of Use
Application: final sanding as preparation for painting, keying of old and new varnishes and compsite materials, intermediate sanding of varnishes on surfaces and curves, sanding of paints and lacquer, removal of orange peel effect and dust inclusions

Preparation

| Coarse | 40 | 80 | Coarse grit sandpaper is a good choice for rough sanding and removing stock quickly, such as sanding the edge of a sticking door with a belt sander. |
| Medium | 100 | 150 | Medium grit sandpaper makes a good starting point for most projects, from sanding unfinished wood to removing old varnish. |
| Fine | 180 | 240 | Finer grit sandpaper is great for removing the scratches left by coarser grits on unfinished wood and for lightly sanding between coats of paint. |
| Very Fine | 320 | 600 | Very fine grit sandpaper is used for light sanding between coats of finish and to sand metal and other hard surfaces. |
