Preparation

It’s important to remove any previous finishes that may have been left on the surface. Strip back the surface to the bare wood. Ensure that the surface is clean from any dirt, dust and any other surface contaminants that may affect the final result of Liberon Floor Wax.

If you are wanting to remove a build-up of heavy duty polish or general dirt, we can recommend using Liberon Floor Cleaner. To fill imperfections in the wood, any holes and serious gaps which may affect the visual aspect of your floor, we can suggest using Liberon Wood Filler, available in 4 colours.

Lightly sand the floor, if required to do so. Ensure you do not leave any dust, as this may alter the results of Liberon Floor Wax.

For the best results we recommend using Liberon Floor Sealer, prior to using Liberon Floor Wax. Combining these products together will allow the finish to truly flourish. Adding the sealer will create a barrier allowing the wax to marry well with the wooden floor.

If you use Liberon Floor Wax in high moisture environments, you are creating a health and safety hazard as the surface will become slippery to walk on.

Apply Liberon Floor Wax in well ventilated areas.

Application

Shake the contents of the product well before applying.

When applying Floor Wax, use thin coats using a brush or cloth. Ensure you apply the wax with pace allowing the wax to penetrate deep into the grains of the wood.

Please wear suitable clothes and gloves when applying this product.

Allow at least 30 minutes to dry and then buff areas off with a clean cotton cloth.

You can choose to apply further coats to your floor, depending on the personal preference of the desired level of sheen that you want to achieve.

Some porous surfaces may require more coats.

Aftercare

If you buff areas of your floor on a regular basis, you should be able to restore the appearance of your floor. When re-buffing, this means it will not restore the shine, to restore the original shine, you will need to re-apply Liberon Floor Wax using a thin coat, repeating the process as stated above.

General and high traffic areas will need more coats and frequent maintenance to ensure the quality in the floor wax.

Do not clean the floor with water, for stubborn marks, please use Liberon Floor Cleaner, or re-apply Liberon Floor Wax
