Jotamastic 87 is the two-pack epoxy mastic coating for repair and maintenance.
Jotun Jotamastic 87 is a two-pack, high solids, anticorrosive, surface-tolerant, epoxy mastic coating with abrasion resistance qualities for repair and maintenance. A high opacity paint that comes with Activator and provides long-lasting protection. Use alone as a primer, mid coat and finish coat, or in conjunction with various Jotun systems. It is ideal for use on steel where blast cleaning may not be possible, surfaces that are still moist and/or as a solution for less severe environments.
Area of Use
Jotamastic 87 is suitable for exterior metal surfaces and is ideal for a wide range of industrial structures, such as containers, bridges, railings and buildings, and interior/exterior areas of Marine Vessels. The product will also go on to previously coated metal - existing alkyd paint, epoxy, zinc epoxy and shop primer.

Perfect for use in atmospheric and immersed environments - can be applied at sub zero temperatures. Excellent protection against salt and fresh water. Chalking can occur if finish is exposed to sunlight. Jotamastic 87 is also available with a Winter Grade Activator to allow application below temperatures of 10°c.

It is strongly advised to apply Jotamastic 87 Standard with an airless spray, using only brush and roller application for small areas (or stripe coatings). Roller application is not recommended for a first primer coat - see the application guide for further information. If applied at the correct film thickness to proeprly prepared steel, it is able to prevent corrosion for up to 15 years.
